When designing in FreePower, it’s critical you follow our placement guidelines to ensure technical execution and the best user experience. FreePower can add significant value to people’s lives, so it’s important to follow our placement guidelines to ensure it does.
Note: If placed incorrectly, the wireless charger can have installation issues and a poor user experience, leading to little or even no use once installed.

Our iconic Charing Halo™ is an industry-first and appealing feature of the FreePower experience. Depending on the countertop material you select, the Charging Halo™ may be vibrant, dim, inconsistent, or not visible at all.
When designing in FreePower, it’s essential to understand the client’s preferences so you can select a surface material that matches their expectations. If the client wants a vibrant Charging Halo™, you’ll need to ensure the material has high translucency and is not inconsistent with features in the stone, like veins. If the client just wants it to be visible enough to understand where the charging zone is, then any material with enough translucency will do.
Once you’ve determined the client’s preference, selecting the surface material carefully is essential. We’ve put together multiple resources on selecting surface material that you can review to learn more:
